Reputation Defense

Reputation Management for Attorneys After a Suspension

Your suspension is over. Your search results should be too.

I'm Anthony Sirianni. I did this for my own father first. I help a reinstated attorney's name search show the practice they've returned to, not just an old disciplinary record.

Built for attorneys. Month to month. No long-term contracts.

The name search

What clients see when they search your name

Attorney suspension search results can outlast the suspension itself. When a prospective client Googles a disciplined attorney, page 1 can include:

  • Avvo. A profile may show a notice such as "This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in [year]" and the sanction type. Avvo also factors disciplinary history into its rating.
  • The state's official attorney directory. Registration information and official disciplinary records can appear in a name search. In New York, the attorney directory provides registration information, and the relevant Appellate Division provides disciplinary-record information.
  • The published disciplinary decision. The decision itself may rank, including copies republished on case law sites.
  • News or bar journal coverage. Older coverage can remain visible long after an attorney has returned to practice.

Most of these sources are accurate public records. They rank because nothing stronger about you exists yet. Lawyer reputation management starts by building that missing picture.

My first client

Why I started doing this

My dad, Thomas A. Sirianni, Esq., has been a New York attorney for 27 years. Years ago he was suspended over an escrow account bookkeeping issue. He served it, was reinstated, and went back to work.

The suspension was over. The internet didn't care.

Anyone who Googled his name saw the discipline listings before anything else. Prospective clients would call and bring up the suspension. Some just never called. He was a good lawyer being judged on one old chapter.

So I went to work on it. Not by trying to erase anything. I built accurate, positive, relevant content about him and his practice so the old listings got pushed off page 1.

That's when I realized there are a lot of good lawyers stuck where my dad was. This page is for them.

Suppression, not deletion

Can you remove a suspension from Google?

No, and anyone who promises removal of an accurate public disciplinary record is not being straight with you.

Google's "Results about you" tool handles personal contact info like a home address, phone number or email. It is not a way to erase court or disciplinary records simply because they are unfavorable. Avvo and state directories rely on official licensing records.

What can be done is suppression: building enough strong, accurate, positive pages about you that the record moves off page 1, where most people stop looking. When I work to push down negative search results, I build what should represent you rather than rewrite the public record.

Suspension suppression addresses the visibility of bar discipline Google results. It does not change your licensing status or make the underlying record disappear.

The process

How attorney reputation defense works

  1. Audit your name

I search your name on Google, Bing and Yahoo and record every page 1 result and its position. We classify each result as negative, neutral or yours, so the starting point is clear.

  2. Build what ranks

We claim and fully complete the profiles that rank for attorney names: Avvo, Justia, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn and other legal directories. I also build a strong personal attorney site under your name, with accurate credentials and practice information.

  3. Flood the zone / de-indexing operations

We publish steady, accurate, attorney-approved content under your name across platforms Google trusts, so there is more good about you than the old record. Behind the scenes, we also work to get outdated or duplicate pages dropped from search where possible. You approve all content before it goes live. We never mention your discipline in the content we create.

  4. Track and maintain

Every month, I capture page 1 on Google, Bing and Yahoo. You get before and after snapshots with screenshots, so you can see the record moving down and the pages about your practice moving up.

Why work with me

Why work with me

I've done it on my own family

This isn't theory. My dad's name is the proof, and you can call him. Thomas A. Sirianni, Esq. was my first client, not an attorney on our staff.

Built for lawyers

I've only ever worked with law firms. When it comes to this type of work, lawyer suspension suppression is all I know. I truly care about each and every one of my clients, because I know what a lawyer's name means to their practice and their family.

No contracts

Month to month. I recommend about six months because reputation work builds over time, but you're never locked in.

FAQ

Common questions

Can you remove my suspension from Google?
+
No. Court records and disciplinary decisions are public and we can't delete them. We push them down by getting stronger, accurate results to rank above them.
How long does it take?
+
It depends on how much is ranking for your name and how strong it is. In my dad's case, it took about six months to clear page 1. Most attorneys should plan on several months.
Which search engines do you cover?
+
Google, Bing, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo. AI assistants like ChatGPT and Google's AI answers pull from the same sources, so the work helps there too.
Will people still be able to find the record?
+
Yes, if they go looking for it specifically. The goal is that someone searching your name to hire you sees your practice first, not your discipline history.
Do I have to sign a contract?
+
No. It's month to month. I recommend about six months because reputation work builds over time.
How do I see progress?
+
You get a personal tracker with before and after snapshots of page 1 on each engine, so you can watch listings move.
Is this the same as your AEO/SEO service?
+
It overlaps, but the focus is different. Reputation defense targets searches for your name. Our SEO work targets the searches your clients use to find a lawyer. Many attorneys do both. Explore our services.
Does Avvo remove disciplinary history?
+
Avvo shows discipline it collects from state licensing authorities, so the goal is not removal but making your claimed, complete profile and stronger results tell the rest of the story.
Will this work on Bing and Yahoo too?
+
Yes, we track Google, Bing and Yahoo every month.
Is this confidential?
+
Yes, we never publish anything about your discipline and never mention it in content we create for you.
I'm still suspended. Should I start now?
+
Yes, the profile and site groundwork takes time and can be done before you return.
Do you work with attorneys outside New York?
+
Yes, we work with attorneys in every state.
